Hot Vinyasa Fusion Has Been a HIT! Have You Tried It?

By Announcement

Looking for a class that combines the best of Bikram Yoga AND the best of vinyasa flow? We’ve got it! Hot Vinyasa Fusion has been a hit so far, and we’re bringing it back Monday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m.

This class begins with several rounds of chaturangas, stretches and even some original hot yoga postures mixed in. Then it transitions to some balancing poses and floor work that will be very familiar if you practice the 26 and 2 regularly. It’s heated to about 100 degrees, so you will still work up a good sweat!

The original hot yoga sequence helps maintain and restore natural range of motion, but it is sometimes criticized for not having much of a focus on the upper body or hip openers. That’s where Hot Vinyasa Fusion comes in!

If you’ve tried it and loved it, Monday is your chance to practice it again. If you haven’t taken it yet, Monday is your chance to try it.

We’re looking at keeping this class on the schedule once a month on Mondays based on your feedback and attendance support, so please let us know what you think!

Sterling Summer Schedule Changes Announced

By Announcement

Need more time to enjoy the beautiful summer weather? We are making some seasonal adjustments to our class schedule for the months of July and August that may help!

Effective immediately, the following classes will be paused:

Tuesday, 8:15 a.m. Iron Hour
Wednesday, 8:15 a.m. Inferno Hot Pilates
Friday, 10 a.m. Original Hot 90
Sunday, 4:30 p.m. Yin Yoga

During this time, we will be evaluating the class schedule with you in mind.

We have plans to offer some different and exciting classes as we head into the fall. In fact, we will be testing a couple of these new offerings in July, so stay tuned!

Of course, we’d love your input on what you’d like to see more (or less) of, so look for a studio survey soon as we work to build on what we think is already Mobile’s best and most dynamic yoga studio!

New Studio Policy: Wearing Masks Required

By News

In compliance with the City of Mobile’s ordinance requiring residents to wear face coverings in public places, we are also requiring our students to wear masks at the studio.

Effective Friday, July 3 and for 30 days following, everyone will be required to follow these guidelines:

  • Wear a face covering when you enter the studio
  • Wear face covering at all times while in the lobby
  • Enter the yoga room ASAP and secure your spot
  • Please keep face covering on until class begins
  • You may choose to wear face covering during class (make sure breathing stays efficient if you do this)

In addition, please also adhere to the following protocols that will continue to keep Sterling a safe and happy space for all!

Please enter the yoga room through the first door (closest to the entrance) and exit through the second door (closest to the back exit) to avoid congestion.

While Sterling is a unique community and we all enjoy connecting with our fellow yogis, please continue to maintain social distancing before and after class.

Thank you for your cooperation and support!
