Fall Challenge Begins Sunday, Oct. 1

Whether you’ve been on your yoga journey for several years or just a few weeks, practicing regularly is a great way to cultivate discipline, mental focus, progress in postures, along with all of the great physical side effects (reduced stress, weight loss, better sleep and so much more!).

Participating in the Sterling 2017 Fall Challenge is a great way to get started. Just make the commitment to practice 30 times during the month of October, and if you miss a day, you can always make it up with a double.

If you haven’t tried all of the classes we offer at Sterling AND you want to experience how they all complement each other, this is the time to TRY!

Everyone who successfully completes the fall challenge will get to sign the challenge wall, earn a FREE challenge T-shirt and save 30 percent on one retail item at the studio.

Labor Day Yoga Schedule Sterling Hot Yoga Mobile ALLabor Day is Monday, Sept. 4, so we will be offering an abbreviated schedule to give you (and our staff) a little break.We’ll still be open to give you time to relax in the hot room, but our schedule will be as follows:

8:15 a.m. – Iron Hour
9:30 a.m. – Sterling 60
2:30 p.m. – Gold 90 – CANCELLED
4:30 p.m. – Viscous Yin – CANCELLED

Monday, Sept. 4
6:15 a.m. – Sterling 60 – CANCELLED
8:15 a.m. – Inferno Hot Pilates
9:30 a.m. – Gold 90

Sterling Bingo ends Sept. 12

Have you earned a bingo yet?

Sixty-three yogis are participating in Sterling Bingo, and some are well on their way to “blackout” status! That means a completed card and with that you earn a free Sterling yoga mat!

There are four other opportunities to win something for your efforts. And remember you are getting healthy along the way!

Remember, this is your opportunity to try a class you might not regularly take, do a double or say something wild and crazy in class!

If you’re not currently playing, there is still time. But hurry, the game ends soon! Come get healthy, get rewarded and most importantly, have fun!

Slow Flow Vinyasa Returns on Wednesdays

If you’re looking for a non-heated vinyasa flow class, make plans to join Manja Podratz every Wednesday morning at 8 a.m.

This 60-minute class is designed to build strength, promote balance and increase flexibility in a slow flow practiced in an unheated setting. All levels welcome. $10 drop-in.

 

Join Us at Yoga Life Fair to Raise Yoga Awareness

Yoga Life Fair Mobile Baldwin County AlabamaYoga Life Fair is an annual event in Fairhope that is designed to help raise awareness of yoga in our local communities.

On Sept. 16 from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m., many yoga studios will join together at Fairhope Pier Park to share demonstrations of different styles of yoga, information and other related activities. Sterling will be well represented there too!

Sprite and Chad Wood will offering a partner yoga demonstration from 5:30-6 p.m. Partner yoga expands yoga practice into the realm of relationships, utilizing the principles of individual postures while incorporating the presence of another person to deepen the impact of the experience.

David Roberts will lead a 26/2 hot yoga demonstration from 4:30-5 p.m. Our Sterling yogis are welcome to join in and share your passion with others. It’s your opportunity to take a hot yoga class outside in natural surroundings, especially since the weather should cooperate!

Support Local Food Drive, Earn Free Yoga Classes!

imageedit_2_3963216420September is National Yoga Month, and now is the time we not only encourage you to stay committed to your practice, but also to share it with your friends and family.

All month long, we will accept food donations to help support Feeding the Gulf Coast, and in exchange for a donation of two canned or dry goods, those who have never practiced at Sterling or who haven’t been in more than three months can take a free class!

First-timers or those returning after three months can make up to three donations for up to three free classes.

We welcome our regular members to help us support this worthwhile cause with food or cash donations. As always, your generosity is appreciated and will help provide for many families in need. Thank you!

Vets Support Donation Class a Great Success Thanks to You!

Veterans Recovery Resources donation based yoga class Mobile ALA very special thank you to all who practiced and supported Veterans Recovery Resources in our recent donation class. A total of $1,111 was raised to help fund this community-based mental wellness program that is currently being developed by veterans for veterans.

Founder John Kilpatrick, one of our very own Sterling yogis, is a 31-year Army reservist is who committed to improving veteran well-being by removing barriers to mental health care. This is especially important as the Gulf Coast is home to the second largest concentration of veterans in the entire country.
