Learn basic Thai yoga massage techniques and life long skills for common aches and pains such as head, neck, shoulder and lower back pain. Thai massage is like yoga with touch! Thai bodywork is an ancient form of work from Thailand stemming back over 2500 years. It is a form of bodywork that incorporates gentle rocking, passive assisted stretching and massage done over clothing with an emphasis of developing compassion and loving-kindness.
In this workshop, you will pair up with a partner to ground, stretch, twist and breathe as you explore the many benefits and stress-reducing effects of Thai massage. Enjoy the opportunity to give and receive bodywork. Learn about connection, trust and communication. Leave open, relaxed and energized.

Partner-assisted, so bring a friend, a spouse or family member. You can choose to take the workshop solo and be partnered with another solo student. No massage experience necessary – everyone is welcome! All participants must register, $85 tuition is per student.

Wear comfortable clothing. Please bring multiple yoga mats for padding, blankets and cushions/pillows.

Muriel Duncan is originally from Toulouse, France and lives in Pensacola, Florida, where she maintains a private massage practice.

Muriel is a Licensed Massage Therapist, as well as an experienced Yoga Instructor. Her background in running and yoga created her interest in the human body and anatomy, which brought her to yoga teaching and bodywork. She discovered her passion for Thai Massage during her first yoga teacher training in 2009. She understood how the connection between body and mind had great transformative power; allowing for holistic well-being. It was then that she honed her skills by studying Thai bodywork with the Vedic Conservatory and practicing the Art of Thai Massage with David Roma.

In 2013, Muriel studied Thai Massage at the Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She has been studying The Art of Thai Massage with David Roma, LMT all over the United States and abroad since 2010.

In February 2019, she went back to Thailand to further her studies and assist during a Thai intensive retreat at Om Waters, north of Chiang Mai. In 2023, she returned to Southeast Asia at Jungle Yoga, to assist her teacher David and study Osteo Thai & Dynamic Thai massage under the guidance of guest teacher Flo Bisogno from Florence, Italy. In 2024 she will embark on her sixth study trip to Thailand.
