Hot Vinyasa Fusion Is Back Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.

By Events

Looking for a class that combines the best of Bikram Yoga AND the best of vinyasa flow? We’ve got it!

Hot Vinyasa Fusion is back Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. Look for this class the second Tuesday of every month!

This 75-minute class begins with several rounds of chaturangas, stretches and even some original hot yoga postures mixed in.

Then it transitions to some balancing poses and floor work that will be very familiar if you practice the 26 and 2 regularly.

It’s heated to about 100 degrees, so you will still work up a good sweat!

The original hot yoga sequence helps maintain and restore natural range of motion, but it is sometimes criticized for not having much of a focus on the upper body or hip openers. That’s where Hot Vinyasa Fusion comes in!

If you’ve tried it and loved it, your chance to practice it again is coming up soon. If you haven’t taken it yet, so is your chance to try it!

Happy Veterans Day!

By News

Many studies are touting the benefits of yoga for military members, including reduction in use of pharmaceutical medications, increased range of motion, decreased depression and more.

At Sterling Hot Yoga & Wellness, we are proud to count several military and veterans among our students.

We have offered classes to military units, and we have teachers trained in trauma-informed and mindful resilience practices.

One of our community partners is Veterans Recovery Resources, a non-profit, community-based mental wellness program that is developed by veterans for veterans. One of our own Sterling yogis, John Kilpatrick, is a 30-year Army reservist and founder of the program.

The goal of Veterans Recovery Resources is to improve veteran well-being by removing barriers to mental healthcare. John is passionate about providing a unique recovery program for veterans and their families suffering from substance abuse, PTSD and other mental health issues.

There are 64,000 veterans in the Gulf Coast area, the second largest concentration of these brave men and women in the entire country.

On this Veterans Day, we are especially thankful for those who have served and continue to serve. We are also proud to provide our support to these men and women and everyone in our community.

Congratulations, 30-Day Challengers!

By Announcement

October, much less 2020, has not been without its challenges between pandemics and hurricanes, so we’re feeling pretty inspired by these yogis who made an even stronger commitment to their practice and succeeded!

Our 30-Day Fall for Yoga Challenge was just the motivation needed for these students to become more dedicated and more determined.

Iron Hour Transitions to Yoga Sculpt!

By Announcement

The Iron Hour class you know and love is about to get even better and a lot more challenging!

Beginning Nov. 1, we’re rebranding this strength-based workout as Yoga Sculpt.

Yoga Sculpt still incorporates light hand weights (maybe even a little more!), cardio and core work for maximum calorie-burning effect.

Instead of targeting the same muscles over and over, sequences will change regularly so you’ll never hit that dreaded plateau.

It’s a total body workout designed to sculpt every major muscle group by combining yoga postures with weights and cardio. It’s a great balance of strength, conditioning and vinyasa flow!

We feel that Yoga Sculpt more appropriately describes this class and the effects it’s designed to have on your body. And we can’t wait for you to experience the difference.

Yoga Sculpt will be offered on Sundays and Thursdays at 8:15 a.m. The first one is THIS Sunday, Nov. 1. Don’t miss it!
