Be the Light With the Help of This Month’s Karma Cause

By News

May Karma Cause Veterans Support Veterans Recovery Resources Mobile ALMemorial Day is this month, and what a special time to remember the ultimate sacrifices our service men and women–and their families–have made.

In memory of them, we are asking you to join our May karma cause and “Be the Light” in our community for veterans.

We want to highlight and support Veterans Recovery Resources, which provides a unique by-veteran, for-veteran approach in delivering counseling, physical therapy, medical care and more. They are also one of our valued community partners!

Please help us support their much-needed role in being the light to one of the largest concentrations of veterans in the country.

You can “Be the Light” by joining us for a special 60-minute original hot yoga class on Monday, May 13. This class will be open to the public in exchange for a donation to Veterans Recovery Resources.

Sterling members are welcome to make donations to this worthy cause as well. If you can’t make it to the designated karma class, but want to make a donation, we will be accepting them through the end of the month.

Veterans Recovery Resources is November Karma Cause

By Announcement

Karma Yoga Veterans Recovery Resources Sterling Hot Yoga Mobile ALOne of the many things we are grateful for during this month of thanksgiving is the sacrifice our men and women in uniform make on our behalf for our freedoms.

With Veterans Day this month, it is only fitting that we focus our Sterling Karma Cause efforts on Veterans Recovery Resources, a non-profit, community-based mental wellness program that is currently being developed by veterans for veterans.

Founder John Kilpatrick, one of our very own Sterling yogis, is a 31-year Army reservist is who committed to improving veteran well-being by removing barriers to mental health care. This is especially important as the Gulf Coast is home to the second largest concentration of veterans in the entire country.

John is passionate about providing a unique recovery program for veterans and their families suffering from substance abuse, PTSD and other mental health issues.

You can help support Veterans Recovery Resources’ efforts by making a tax-deductible donation online here or at the studio during our designated karma yoga classes.

The 5:30 p.m. class on Mondays this month will be open to the public for a donation that will go to this much-needed program and make an immediate difference. We look forward to seeing you then!
