Have You Tried Sterling’s New Classes? Here’s Why You Should!

By News

Inferno Hot Pilates New Sterling ClassesSince returning from our last Sterling Teacher Training in July, Lucille has been working to increase her strength, so she’s been focused on the Iron Hour and Inferno Hot Pilates classes.

She’s already noticed a few things as a result: first, she says she is definitely getting stronger.

She feels her core muscles tone, and sees her arms and legs getting more defined.

Second, she also notices how well everyone is doing in class.

It’s obvious how our Sterling yogis are able to control their breath, and although they are raising their heart rate and building strength, it’s all being done with mindfulness and breath.

The foundation we have all built with the Classic Sterling series is proving very valuable as we move to new experiences!

New Sterling Yoga Classes Yin Yoga Mobile ALDid you see what Bill said the other day?

“I took my first yin class this morning, I have been practicing the 26/2 for more than 6 years now and I have never taken any other type of yoga class so this was a first. I enjoyed it very much, and I am going to make it a point to add it to my regular practice. I have started practicing regularly again, and I believe the yin is going to get me back quicker to a solid 26/2 practice. The class is not heated, lasts about 50 minutes, and is non impact. BTW, the teacher (Michelle) was awesome.

Thanks, Bill! Glad you are enjoying our new classes!

Core Strength, Iron Hour and Standing Head to Knee

By News
Core Strength Iron Hour Sterling Hot Yoga

Iron Hour helps build core strength, which helps improve your postures in the Sterling 60 and Gold 90 hot yoga classes!

In many of the standing poses in our yoga series, we talk about the locked knee.

The locked knee, in good alignment with the ankle and the hip, is absolutely important, and it takes a great deal of strength to maintain it for more than a few moments.

In Standing Head to Knee, locking both knees is especially challenging.

In this wonderful photo example, Jason Winn is executing the full expression of the pose where his arms are extended, no longer holding on to the foot.

Yes, absolutely, Jason has a tremendous amount of strength in his legs, but it’s core strength that’s holding it all together!

Strong abs, strong legs and strong arms (and a lot of determination) are what allows Jason to pull off this beautifully executed pose.

It’s strength that supports flexibility and flexibility that supports strength. And now, Sterling Hot Yoga Works can help you to attain both.

Adding Iron Hour to your practice is a great way to improve your Standing Head to Knee and many other poses! But remember, taking the Sterling 60 and the Gold 90 also helps you to maintain good overall health! It all works together!
