What year did you first start practicing yoga?
Was there any particular reason you started practicing yoga?
I had gotten away from physical fitness, gained a lot of weight, went through a divorce, just not happy physically and mentally, and it was time for a change. So, I walked into the studio, felt right at home and kept coming back!
Favorite posture and why?
Fixed Firm because it’s just always come rather natural for me for some reason. I get in the posture and sometimes feel like I could stay there all day!
Why do you currently practice this yoga?
To maintain a good balance of mind, body and spirit. To continuously accept where my yoga has me on any given day and to see further improvements as they are made available to me.
What do you love about teaching yoga?
Seeing the excitement and satisfaction it brings to new students as they realize the benefits they are receiving in even a short period of time. Sharing experiences with other students and learning from their practices.
Two things most people don’t know about you?
I sang the lead role in a Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta (Trial by Jury) when I was 17. I completed four 26.2-mile marathons, although didn’t start running until my late 30s and got progressively faster each race. You can turn back the hands of time!
