New Schedule, New Publix Coming Soon!

Announcement | Feb 03, 2018

Midtown Publix Development Midtown Mobile Sterling Hot YogaChange is in the air! Sights and sounds of construction have been ever present around the studio for months now.

Very soon we will welcome new neighbors! Publix is scheduled to open on Wednesday, Feb. 21, and other tenants in the development, such as Rock N Roll Sushi, Taco Mama, G. Harvell Mens Clothier and other great businesses will help bring new life into our little corner on Old Shell Road.

We are excited that this new development will increase our visibility and improve parking–just to name a few!

Thank you for your patience as construction continues and the area undergoes its transformation. It’s a great time to be a part of Midtown Mobile, and we eagerly anticipate what the future holds for Sterling Hot Yoga!

New Schedule Effective Monday, Feb. 19

In keeping with this spirit of change, stay tuned because we’re going to release an updated schedule featuring more of what you asked for in our recent survey!

Some general updates include changing the start of evening classes to allow more of you to attend. Our 5:15 p.m. classes will now begin at 5:30 p.m., and our 6:30 p.m. classes will now begin at 6:45 p.m.

You can also expect to see more 90-minute classes, more vinyasa and more weekend afternoon classes. This schedule will go into effect Monday, Feb. 19!

Special Challenge Helps You Commit to Your Practice ALL YEAR!

Announcement | Jan 03, 2018

18 in 18 Yoga Challenge Hot Yoga Challenge Sterling Hot Yoga MobileHappy New Year! As we welcome 2018 at Sterling, we do so with even more anticipation than usual.

That’s because new and exciting things are happening AT the studio and AROUND the studio!

As you may know, the Midtown Publix Development, featuring retail shops and restaurants, is nearing completion and is expected to be open early this year.

At Sterling, we are ready to help you achieve your health and wellness goals in 2018!

Of course, we’re planning special classes, events and challenges throughout the year. But one of the things we’re most excited about (and hope you will be too!) is our 18 In 18 Challenge that’s designed to help keep you committed to your practice all year long!

18 In 18 Challenge

Who’s ready for a challenge unlike any other?

This year, we’re challenging you to take 18 classes in EACH MONTH of 2018 in the “18 in 18 Challenge.”

You’ll complete the challenge as long as you average 18 classes a month for the year. Classes can count toward more than one challenge (such as during spring and fall 30-day challenges).

Those who complete the “18 in 18 Challenge” will be entered to win: an annual membership (1 available) and a fitness tracker (2 available). Everyone who successfully completes it will receive a long-sleeved Dri-Fit pullover with the Sterling logo and 18 In 18 challenge logo.

Make 2018 a year to remember! Sign-up information available soon!

Holistic Healing and Yoga Therapy Sessions Soon Available

Announcement | Aug 04, 2017

holistic healing and yoga therapy sessions mobile alJulia Szvath, a holistic healer who combines both the conventional medicine of psychology with alternative solutions, such as breath work and yoga therapy, will return to Sterling for two weeks starting Aug. 20.

Sterling Hot Yoga Mobile founder Lucille Moran credited her work with Julia as an integral part of her recovery from breast cancer.

Julia believes that you are more than your physical body, and that parts of you, like your thoughts, your emotions or your energy field might be invisible to the eye, but they play a vital role in your health and well-being.

“Therefore I believe that a holistic approach is crucial to achieve long-lasting results in healing and recovery,” she said. “Addressing the individual as a whole instead of focusing on the physical symptom is a key to restoring health, peace and harmony.

“Illness is a teacher and healing is a journey of self discovery towards personal freedom,” she said. “My role is to assist individuals on this journey and provide support and guidance for our common goal: to restore health and live life fully without fear.”

Julia’s sessions are available to everyone. All you need is a willingness to try and an open mind to receive. To learn more about Julia, click here.

To schedule a session with Julia, contact David Roberts at the studio. More details will be sent in an email later this month. Also follow our Facebook page for more information!

Help Support Local Vets with Special Donation-Based Class

Announcement | Aug 04, 2017

veterans recovery resources mobile alVeterans Recovery Resources is a non-profit, community-based mental wellness program that is currently being developed by veterans for veterans.

John Kilpatrick, one of our own Sterling yogis and a 31-year Army reservist, is the founder of the program. The goal of Veterans Recovery Resources is to improve veteran well-being by removing barriers to mental health care.

John is passionate about providing a unique recovery program for veterans and their families suffering from substance abuse, PTSD and other mental health issues.

The Gulf Coast is home to 5 million veterans, the second largest concentration in the entire country. In Southwest Alabama alone, there are more than 64,000 veterans. Of those brave men and women, 7,000 are in immediate need of help.

Local resources are currently very limited, but John is creating a program that truly will benefit each and every returning service member who needs and deserves assistance and care.

To help support this very worthy cause, please join us Monday, Aug. 21 at 5:15 p.m. for the Sterling 60 class. Sprite Rose Wood will lead the class in honor of our military veteran community and in support of Veterans Recovery Resources.

Tax-deductible donations will be accepted and 100 percent of the monies raised will be given to this much-needed program. Your donations will make an immediate difference. We look forward to seeing you then!
